One of the things I like most about this particular form of marketing is that it covers both short term issues and long term marketing strategies. I the short term by submitting articles to well known and well visited article directories, you are going to acquire visitors rather quickly. Your articles will also be listed on many of these directories for months or even years.

If you are submitting your articles to well read and sites with higher page rankings then you may also be scoring well in terms of getting your articles to the first pages of some of the search engines rankings for key phrases and long tail key phrases. It is possible to score with some more competitive keywords, but that is a bit tougher and can take a little longer to do.

There are many other reasons that I like article marketing. For one, the cost associated with this type of marketing is terrific...I like free. For those of you that do not have the big advertising budgets this is an excellent way to compete with those that do. Writing short and informative articles is great because you can submit them to hundreds of directories and when someone takes one of your articles from these directories and puts it on their site, you have even more links and possible readers coming back to your site.

So not only is this method of marketing great for getting some quick visits back to your main site or blog, but you are also link building and this type of building is very natural and will be recognized by the search engines over time.

Another great reason to write articles is because that for every article you write, you are creating another cog in your sales force. Putting these links back to your opportunity or website with your opportunity or product within the article has this effect. Create enough articles and you will have a massive sales force that works 24/7.

Maybe one of the more important aspects of article marketing and writing is that you will become more and more of an expert in your niche. Branding yourself as an expert is one of the best reasons for you to write because over time people will come to you for advice on the next best piece of software or for a review of the products in your niche. This will help you build the trust and credibility you will need with your visitors to turn them into customers and subscribers.
